It doesn’t take long each day to be reminded of the brokenness of the world we live in—illness, divorce, conflict—it can all be so wearying.
God did not create things to be this way. All that He created existed without stain of sin and once sin came into the world, so did brokenness.
And yet, for those who trust in Christ, there is a promise (actually, a lot of promises! 😂❤️)—all of the pain and difficulties in life are for our good and His glory. This process of becoming like Christ—being sanctified—culminates in heaven where we are free from stain of sin—sadness, pain, hurt all fall away in glory. ❤️
2 Corinthians 4:16-18:
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
